Software Developer skilled in Object Orientation, Java or C++ has an excellent opportunity with a World Leader in Geophysical Exploration Methods whose clients are also based throughout the world. Using the latest cutting edge technologies you will be a crucial member of the Software Development Team responsible for supporting and maintaining the existing code base, enhancing existing functionality and adding new modules to the software.
It is essential that you have knowledge and skills in coding using OO language and preferably Java or C++, with a solid numerical mathematical background ideally with a Mathematical Degree or equivalent, and Maths A-Level (or equivalent). Any experience within the oil industry or a qualification in earth sciences would be an advantage. There will be some client-facing responsibilities therefore you will need to have strong communication skills. Whilst working as part of a team, you will have sole responsibility for meeting deadlines on your projects so drive and self-motivation is essential.
